Beautiful sunsets every evening by the beach.

Our room which was a couple of stairs up but worth the pain for the fantastic sea views from our window. The infinity pool area is nice but small in size but you have a very nice sea view and excellent beach accessibility.
The service is not the strongest point of this hotel and we struggled to get the taxi service arranged to get around the island. The restaurant prices are also quite high and the food quality does not stand up if you order alla carte.

Staff were very attentive and efficient at any hour!!
Everything was very good, stunning location not far from a stunning view over the Bay, and a dreamy bay surrounded by mountains and jungle, very lovely experience. We booked a double room, it was magnificent and decent size.

Ao prao resort is super nice! We had a very spacious room with a killer view and the staff are super friendly and always helpfull. Breakfast buffet was great, with good vegan options! The infinity pool is lovely and the private beach is just a few steps, sooo relaxing! The evening entertainment was fun, and we enjoyed the loy kratong event with the fire show.
Only downside was that the hairdryer was sooo tiny and the shower was kinda weak. Could be better!

would recommend for a weekend excursion
Relaxing beach, fine sunsets, complemented by excellent snorkeling opportunities just off the shore and a seamless ferry transfer from the main pier to the resort, made arriving stress-free.

Very tranquil, Rooms hardly visible from the sea, most of them situated as luxury jungle style cabins, i would regard the room i had as 4 star. You can order a speedboad transfer from the BanPhe Seree pier to the hotel beach (and vice versa) at the hotel reception (depart three times a day, order in advance). Staff was very friendly and helpfull (5 star service). Internet was available at the reception area (free).
Just a pitty they opted for plastic sun lounges on the beach. The island of Koh Samet itself is more a backpacker place but you won't notice this from the resort.

Location is fantastic in quiet Ao Prao beach. Rooms are comfortable and quiet in the middle of gardens.
Restaurant was a bit expensive for the quality.

Beautiful sunsets almost every evening on the beach.
The accessibility for my elderly mother was quite poor. We were not informed that the ferry would drop us at the main pier, necessitating a truck taxi ride that was very challenging for her. The lack of railings throughout the hotel made navigating the grounds difficult and dangerous, especially near the pools and staircases.

The hotel is nice and the views are beatiful and with only 3 hotels on this side of the island its very quiet and relaxing. The free speed boat transfer from the mainland was also a major plus having travelled on slow dingey ferries in thailand to other islands. Good sunset views.
So the beach is almost private with only 3 resorts but the sand is not as nice as the main beach on the other side of the island. The water is also not very clean as it faces the mainland and by all accounts rubbish is dumped from there into the sea so its far nicer to swim on the other side of the island. The price of the food in the restaurant is way too high in fact we didnt eat there once however the other resorts on that side have more reasonable options and the food was good. Taxis to the main beach will set you back 200 baht each way so bare this in mind although we still thought it was worth it for the atmosphere and reduced food/drink prices elsewhere. We would recommend hiring a quad bike for the day as this will save on the cost of going to the other side and back and exploring the island was very rewarding. All in all unless you want a quiet romantic retreat with not much going on I would strongly recommend staying on the east coast main beach and maybe just come over to the west for a day or 2 for the sunsets and the quiet beach.

Wonderful hotel, fairly clean, polite and exceptional staff. Great and quiet location - quite close to Breeze. Good restaurant for lunch and dinner.

I've seen better, but worse too
Fine sunsets and a peaceful ambiance make this resort a perfect tranquil getaway. The staff is cute, and the beach offers very nice snorkeling opportunities with vibrant marine life.
Bathroom decor feels outdated, and the pillow quality leaves much to be desired. The unstable hot water pressure was a letdown .

Close to the city and in a secluded private area on Koh Samet.

The beach was 'nice', but I was shocked that the staff didn't speak English! It took them forever to help me with the canoes-clearly, a high-end resort should have better communication. I expected a complimentary upgrade for my trouble, yet here I am-waiting like a mere mortal. Almost gave it a good review, but just couldn't.
